I'm trained in the method taught to my teacher, Leroy Kromm, by his teacher, William Miller (1907-1998)  known as Nature's Way.  Mr. Miller's teacher was Dudley Buck jr. (1868-1941), who in turn was taught by Julius Stockhausen (1826-1906), one of Manuel Garcia Jr's (1805-1906) more famous students, and Jean de Reszke (1850-1925).  Mr. Garcia was taught by his father, the elder Manuel Garcia (1775-1832). 

I mention this vocal heritage because I find it historically fascinating.  It's encouraging to know that these people knew what they were doing.  It's also marvelous to think and imagine that what I was taught is perhaps a 200+ year old echo of the elder Garcia's teachings.
